Without your computer specs and make and model of the printer nobody can even think of an idea how to help you.
You could go to Control panel > Devices and Printers and see if it's there at all. Printer would have to be ON.

You can't just download the driver; you have to actually install it for it to work.
Need to provide us some details regarding the driver file (name, where you got it) and the printer information.
