I'm not sure what's going on, but after I remove the off-board VGA card from the rig it's not booting anymore. It doesnt even beep when I turn it on with no memory module. I tried to reset BIOS but still no go! I'm starting to pray!
Why did you remove video card ? Is it because of problems you had ? it may be MB's fault from the beginning. Does it work if you put that GPU back or another one ?
Why did you remove the RAM? Does it have its own onboard video? If you plug the video card and RAM back in does it then boot up? If it does, go into the BIOS and set the video back to onboard before removing the video card.

I removed the offboard VGA to put in another rig, but it still has the onboard VGA. I removed the RAM after the first frustrated try to boot the computer just to check if it would long-beep as expected... but not !
I'm installing an old Pentium 4 HT (same socket) to check if it boots, if yes the problem is my C2D.
