Upon plugging in USB mouse task bar/apps (skype) freeze?

Title, occurs when I plug in my deathadder I don't have another mouse to test. The laptop is a aspire v3 772g and I recently reinstalled windows which made no difference.

I've tried reinstalling completely the mouse drivers to no avail.

If I boot up with the mouse not plugged in everything works fine with no lagging. Also the taskbar freezes upon booting up with the USB mouse plugged in.
I've also tried different ports


Any help would be appreciated it's very frustrating

Can you borrow a mouse from a friend and see if you get the same results?

Do you have other usb devices and they don't cause this? If so, sure sounds like the mouse as Nuccii suggests. Also, you have the chipset drivers from the Acer site installed? I notice there is one for the 772G.

Notes say doesn't do anything for USB but nothing to lose trying.
