Her is what I have in Device Manager.

On my motherboard this is my setup.

    Sata 0-3 - ACHI
    Sata 4-5 - IDE for CD/ROM

JMicron - Two ports as IDE default as I don't use them.\

So it shows in Devices as 3 IDE and 1 Sata ACHI

    Run chkdsk /r X:

command on the SSD drive, where X is its drive letter. It will (hopefully) fix any issues it finds.

    Use elevated (admin) prompt.

You could let scan to see if it wants to give you a newer driver, or manually find it yourself on the site because it may not give it to you because of Windows 8 being used:

Just check the driver date in the device manager compared to anything Intel has to offer.
