    Inspiron 11 3000 Series (Intel(R)) - 3147

Dell came out with a new 2 in 1 (tablet/laptop) in June of this year. I could not afford the surface pro 3 and for the money I did not want to still spend over $700 for the surface pro 2, so I checked this out. I went to a show that showed it and I really liked it over the levano. I got it with a 2 yr in house service contract thru my business account with dell for $550. it will be shipped on July 17 (actually my Birthday) and I will get it on July 21
When I get it and can play with it I will give you my full review.
I did purchase on amazon a hdmi to vga adapter so I can hook it up to a projector.
It is running the updated 8.1 and has a quad core proecessor.

ok got the tablet/laptop today. It is awesome!!! the screen is amazing, yes it smudges but all touch tablets or laptops they smudge, at least the ones I have seen, but I can hardly see the smudges. Color is great. I loaded up all my programs, no problems. this is a intel Pentium dual core processor and it loads every program I put on so far including office 2013 very good. It bends back with ease
I like that it has a long adapter so one is not stuck on putting an extension cord. I am typing on it now and the keyboard feels like a regular laptop keyboard. The touch mouse is not bad either, most of the time I would put an external mouse but I really do not need it with this baby.
Sound is very good for something so small.
For its price under $500 you cannot go wrong if you cannot afford the surface pro and want a tablet or laptop
Suppose to last 8 hours on battery not used and 4 hours of use
I need to allow it to charge over night first time then I can test that
Here are some pics of it

In the pics it is sitting on my lap

Hi, thanks for the pics and impressions. Could you tell me more about your thoughts on the build quality and keyboard. It's there a lot of flex to the keyboard? Does the chassis bend easily?
    Thanks!

The chasy bends beautifully and believe me i have done it at least 10 times in one day
the keyboard is just like a regular laptop keyboard. The keys are tight and when you hit them you think ypu are on an expensive laptop. It is built solid. That was one of the reasons i decided not to get the lenova, the build was very flimsy.
you will not be disappointed with this one
btw Walmart has it on sale for $449

Also i was shocked by the sound quality. It is clear and crisp and sounds better than my vostro i3 laptop that 2 yrs ago i paid $700 for, non touch

Thanks for the quick reply. That's great to hear because I also tested the Lenovo and found the build to be very flimsy and decided to wait and see this Dell. Cheers!
