I have this problem for a long time, and when I putted win8, same problem!
Waking from sleep - one core goes 100% load!

All drivers are up to date, except Intel HD 3000, I can't install it, I have treid the mod that exist in this forum(editing ini file) but it does not work with latest driver ?!?
