Hi everyone
I am using latest WIN 8.1.1 64-bit OS. Just bought this lap 3 months back. I had updated all the drivers, softwares and security patches from manufacturer's site & MS Windows too.
This problem is there right from the beginning. I had also updated my BIOS to the latest given in the HP product site. No drivers or softwares other than those given in product site are installed.
The issue is whenever I start using IE (I have IE11), the touchpad scrolling function freeze for sometime then again revert to normal and it goes on & on while browsing though different webpages irrespective of which one I open. When it start suddenly the touchpad cursor stuck up n immediately gets control of cursor but scroll function still remains inactive. I have not seen this issue otherwise while doing normal windows operations when IE is closed. But issue remains on other operations specifically scrolling through Windows modern apps while IE is open. I may not be able to reproduce this issue at a time specified by you, it just comes & goes intermittently.
I had done troubleshooting for touchpad, and everything went normal. I had looked for any driver issues but could not see any in the device manager. Had unistalled & reinstalled latest version of Synaptics touchpad from product site & from device manager on two separate occasions. Since getting this weird problem , I had looked for the settings option of Synaptics touchpad, And I can see that two-point scrolling, scrolling, smooth scrolling everything is enabled. the mouse pointer speed has also been maxed out by me. Vertical & horizontal scrolling speed has been increased by me to 6 from 3. All these steps taken by me still has not resolved my issue.
Hope someone would help me out!
p.s.: this issue was not noticeable while using USB wireless mouse.
Thanks
Visruth
