BIOS keeps going back to default after a few weeks

Every few weeks, I have to get my old graphics card and change the BIOS settings because the CSM mode just resets out of nowhere. The new graphics card isn't compatible with windows 8 so I have to go back and enable the CSM settings to get it to work. Is there a reason why my BIOS keeps resetting the next morning I wake up?

A resetting BIOS is a symptom of a dead BIOS battery on the motherboard. If you have your motherboard's manual its replacement should be covered in there. If not look for a button battery somewhere on the MB and replace it.

Some MBs also have a "Dual BIOS" feature so when it perceives an error in BIOS it switches to "Spare" one which is of course at factory default.
