Solved Will my laptop works using windows 8.1 (drivers)

Hey there,
I'm going to install windows 8.1 on my laptop(Acer Aspire 5943g) next month. But i recognised that for this laptop there are no drivers for windows 8,8.1 etc.. Only drivers that i found are for windows 7 64-bit, which I have had installed on my laptop(the laptop is 3 years old so there is no more support). The question is if my laptop will work on windows 8.1 with drivers for windows 7 correctly? Thanks!

Your welcome, I hope that tells you what you need to know. I had a 5920 a while back that my father loaned me. It originally came with Vista and I upgraded it to 7. I remember having to hunt up one driver, don't remember what it was for now though. I gave it back to him before 8 was on the go so it's still running 7. I have to say, Windows 8 comes with a great selection of stock drivers, even for older hardware.
