Well, I managed to steal a few minutes from my babysitting duties to load the driver from the link you kindly included.

Just had enough time to "reboot" but it shaved a few seconds off the "boot up" time.

Haven't had time to plug an optical device into it yet, will do that this evening. I have the morning off tomorrow so will have a good "play" then....

The entry in Device Manager moved from IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers/Standard SATA AHCI Controller to Storage controllers/Marvell 92xx SATA 6 G Controller +Marvell Storage Virtual Device surprisingly....

Got home and transfered the Bluray Player/Recorder to the card and it works Also checked the delay.... Still there a couple of seconds less but still over a minute and a half So the effective delay is just under 70 seconds

Any ideas about reducing this? (just before midnight)
