Turn off mouse button pinning window positions

Instead of using my thumb button to go back a page in my browser it now moves whatever window I'm in across the screen from pinned-right, to center to pinned-left.

How do I disable that feature and get my back button functionality back?

Hi Fogyreef, welcome to Windows EightForums!

    What browser are you using?

IE, Chrome and Firefox. It happens with all apps, though.

Hello Fogyreef, and welcome to Eight Forums.

What brand and model number is your mouse?

It sounds like you may just need to change the mouse settings for that button back to what it was.

It's a Logitech G700 and I'm coming here after asking them about it. There's no option in the software that says use this button to move the window across the screen. It smells of a Win 8 "feature", but it doesn't sound like you folks are familiar with such a feature.

Double check your Logitech Gaming Software settings for your mouse see what task is set for the back button.

Thanks, but I've done all that.

So, with all the pinning and tablet functionality, and the fact I've never seen this in Win 7, there's no such setting in Win 8? The window pins to the right, then it unpins then pins to the left side, then moves on to the other monitor.

When the Logitech software is on the back and forward buttons work as expected. After closing the software (required for what I'm doing) that's when it happens. It didn't happen in Win 7.

If this has just recently started to happen, then you could do a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to hopefully fix it.

It's been going on for months. "Recently" means I've been doing this for years and only had this problem with Win 8. I'm just not familiar with Win 8's new features and where they're hiding all the settings.

So again, you're implying that Win 8 has no mouse-controlled docking functionality, yes?
