Install metro apps to sd card

I have a friend with a tablet that asked if this was possible. Did a search and do not see the answer. Is it possible. It is a dell venue 8 pro. Thanks

Edit- It is on 8.1 with the update. The registry fix that worked with 8 does not work.

That should be possible. I assume that is a MicroSD card. Make a program folder on the SD card and pick an easy little program. Direct the installer to that folder and see what happens.

I store images on my MicroSD card on my tablet and that goes without any problems - even recovery from there. I formatted my SD card in NTFS - that may be a good idea for the programs too.
