I thought it might be important to make a thread about this,

I discovered a problem for users running OS win8CP of a SSD drive.
SSD are not supposed to be set for de fragmentation aint it?

After looking at that area I see it shows my main drive (SSD) has be selected to be optimized this may explain why the freezing does not take place right after a fresh install of the system.
I discovered this setting via orb/charm bar/control panel/administrative settings/defragmentation.

If it turns out if your SSD's partition isn't aligned correctly it will under-perform and could be the cause for the freezes. If it indeed has defragmented the ssd then a complete reinstall of the OS may be in order or realigning your SSD's partition.

SSDs should be exempt from defrag by default.

If you check it and it's not turned off then you should turn it off.
Defragging an SSD is not recommended, since they are accessed differently than a HDD, defragging won't help it run any faster and will add un-neccessary writes for no benefit.
If it does happen to run it will not harm the SSD or data, it's just not neccesary.

If your SSD is not aligned it will greatly reduce the performance.
An easy way to check if you SSD is properly aligned is to download and open, you do not need to run it, AS SSD benchmark app.
Look in the upper left corner, to the left of the 'Read' box, the fourth down on the list will have some numbers and if it's good a '-OK' and will be in green font, if it is in Red font it is not aligned.

For example:
Intel - the SSD brand
2CV1 - SSD firmware
iaStor - Controller driver
103424 K - OK - Alignment (Red font means not aligned)
111.79 GB - Usable size
