I got a RAW file system error when trying to reading my USB flash drive on my laptop. The computer also asks me to format it before opening. But, yesterday, I had put a few precious self-made videos on this USB flash drive and planed to upload it to my laptop this morning. They cannot be erased by formatting. Do you have anyway for me to rescue these videos before formatting? I need your help! Thanks!

I've personally had very poor results rescuing files from flash drives. They seem nowhere as robust as hard drives.

If you want to try using a data recovery app, I would recommend RecoverMyFiles. You can download and install it for free on your PC, run it, and see if it can recover the files. IF it works, you go online, purchase a license, apply it -- and do the actual file recovery.

OK! In order to rescue all your wanted videos back safely, you should act carefully:

Step1. Never save new data on this USB flash drive in case that new data would overwrite your original files and let them gone permanently.

Step2. Never format USB flash drive to increase the difficulty of complete data recovery.

Step3. Try to restore all your inaccessible files back with the help of some data recovery tools online, like 4Card Recovery, Recuva, iCare Data Recovery Free and more.
No matter which one tool you decide to use, you’ve better use it more times to find much more wanted data back.

Step4. Save and back up all restored data well on another drive or location.

I hope this can help you!

In fact, I have a great success to restore my deleted files back from my mistakenly formatted Kingston USB flash drive with the help of a video tutorial:

It may also give you some clues.
Next time, always save all important data on different drives or cards timely in case of similar data loss problems.
Good luck!
