I have a new machine with 8.1 [that I have come to hate! I guess I'm just an old dog trying to learn new tricks] it is constantly not showing all my external drives when I want to remove one with "Safely Remove Hardware" and of course the one not showing is usually the one I want do remove. Is this a know issue with 8.1 or is it more likely something is just wrong with this new machine.

  • OS
    8.1
I have 8.1 Pro wmc & have no problems with the safely remove hardware thing.

I found this on Google:

  • You can also safely remove devices from the Computer folder. Click the Start button
    4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg
, click Computer, right-click the device you want to remove, and then click Eject.
