Problem running Win 8 on NetBook Asus Eee PC 1001P

(Original OS Win 7)


Win 8 Beta problem:

Error message: This app can’t open
This screen resolution is too low for this app to run.

While changing resolution error:
Your resolution is lower than 1024x768
Some items might not fit and apps might not open

My max resolution on this computer is: 1024x600


Where is the problem or how I can fix it?

Unfortunately you can't the max resoultion that the 1001P can support even with the correct drivers is going to be 1024x600. The only fix is impractical which would be to install an LCD with a better resolution. The EEE 1005PR sports a 1366 x 768 wxga LCD but it's also 10.1 inch and not 10 inch so your talking about a serious modification for very little return. Not recommended for the faint of heart.

Unfortunately the error says it all. It's not going to work at that low of resolution.

hello "gdm40"... sorry, bad you are very little experienced and you solving nothing, just bla-bla. Microsoft promised that Win 8 will work on any computer with Win 7... Here is better solution for similar and even older computers >
