Motherboard suggestions for Windows 8.1

I like the Asus B85M-E board (you didn't mention it). Has all the stuff you might want, and won't break your wallet.

Only recommend that you do not get a Gigabyte board, as I've had difficulties with all the ones I've owned (and currently own).

As for the boards you've mentioned, I'm just not sure. Make sure that the boards support your CPU and RAM

Hi wizkid,

Your first post indicated you wanted to use your existing cpu from specs (1090T). Now, you are asking about an amd 8350 cpu. If I have perceived this correctly, maybe you would be better served to not mix ideas in the same thread so everyone can stay focused on just one issue. With that said, I homed in on your first post and the first question that came to my mind was "What is the Op trying to accomplish by getting a new mobo and reusing all existing hardware?" Now, if you could explain why, then it might make a bit more sense because it seems like a few of those boards you mentioned are really overkill for someone who is only intending to reuse all existing "other" hardware.

Hi

I agree some of my threads do seem confusing. To confirm the reason why I purchased a new motherboard was because the USB ports had failed on my previous board. But unfortunately I also had issues with the Gigabyte 990FXA UD5 as the system just wouldn't stay stable at all. So I am now looking a the above setup that I linked to earlier and I would use this with the AMD 8350 chip as I have now sold the 1090T.

I did think about posting a new thread but it would only be asking the same advise so didn't want to duplicate threads anymore..

I had been working with Master Chief in the BSOD section trying to get the system stable but it seems that he has now been banned from the forums?

Again sorry for any confusion caused.

@wizkid: Thank you for clearing that up. It all makes more sense now! However, I am not the best person to make a suggestion based on your revised/combined need. With that said, I'm hoping someone with an AMD 8350 will chime in and comment further.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Best regards,
