If you have video card that uses shared memory, it may be why you are seeing the difference.

I can't find the gtx 620, only gt 620. Supposedly discrete memory.

Strange the 2GB seems to be what you are missing minus the overhead.

Well, if you look at total of 11.9 at top, minus the hardware reserved and pool page used, then works out to be about 2GB. Your supposed discrete video memory.

Not saying I'm correct, just appears that way to me.

Pardon me for dropping in but I couldn't help reading the thread and I thought that all GPU's had dedicated RAM I wasn't aware that main RAM was shared in this way.
I looked at this and saw the 2GB as mentioned and is it because the model the cuebert has - has DDR3 RAM on board that it shares the main RAM?? GeForce GT 630 | Specifications | GeForce (the Kepler model)

I don't get it either unless some knock-off card that is using shared memory when supposed to be dedicated. Unless it is a buffer to speed things up.

Hmm I don't know popeye as I am no expert I think the DDR5 card would have been the better one to use in any case but.......
