Solved Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal (Smb Driver Intel.sys)

Hi,

i'm running the Windows 8 that the laptop(INSPIRON 15r 5521) came with, it's a brand new laptop (only around a month old ) and i'm running mcafee Security Suite as my antivirus. Over the past few dayss I've gotten the same blue screen error. It says 'Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal (Smb Driver Intel.sys). I've just been sharing the file through homegroup while i'm doing this. i also attach the dump file for the same.

i also tried BLUE SCREEN VIEW for the same and this told me some "Platform Specific Hardware Error Driver" i attached the snapshot of the same.

is this is any hardware error , plz help for the same.

Please update the driver from Intel.com

If issues persist, please see the top sticky thread in the BSOD subforum and follow along to what it says to do.

No, not hardware error.

I give advice as if machines were my own (what I would do): I would remove McAfee and set Windows Defender + Windows Firewall to Automatic and start them too.
