Where to put a .cat file?

I have a .cat file for my Asus VE278 monitor, I've downloaded it, but have no idea on where to place it (what folder)?
(I'm using Win 8.1)

.cat files are archives, just sitting anywhere is not going to be recognized. It has to be unarchived (opened) by some progra, in this case probably by driver installation program.
