Win8.1 and Lexmark z730 printer - no driver

I've tried several installs, gone to Lexmarks's site, searched the web, and I can't get a Lexmark z730 inkjet driver, or a work around that might work.

Do I resign myself to the inconvenience of using my XP laptop for the occasional print job, or can something be done?

Looks like Lexmark isn't releasing any drivers for that model printer for Vista, 7 or 8/8.1. So you'll have to do your suggestion in your post or go get a new printer.

It worked fine in Win 7. I've come across some posts indicating the MS changed some things in W8 print facility. There should be some way aroundd this problem.

You could try installing it in compatibility mode and see if that gets you any closer.

Did you try from Control Panel / Devices and Printers / Ad Printer and internet search, I found like that drivers for some really ancient printers.

There's no problem finding drivers for the the printer - it's just that they won't work with Win 8.1. The closest to an install I got, was clicking on the Lexmark printer and getting "false handle".
