WD Mybook Essential Unable to Format from RAW format

    Hi all,
so the title explains it all
    what really happened was..
I dropped the external (drive was not spinning) and plugged it into computer,
it would sit at 100% usage, but 0% on Read/Write Speed

I attempted formatted via Windows Explorer, CMD, Hirens boot CD
I managed to remove the Volume to unallocated, but now cannot Formate or Create a new Volume,
i did manage to update the firmware, so i still have some hope that it can be fixed!!!
but i am out of ideas and seek help from anyone!!

    Thankyou in advanced

Also, the Western Digital Quick formatter for Windows fails to format the drive (it picks it up, but after viewing progress via Disk Management, it makes it to removing the volume but then fails and reverts back to RAW

Try with Easus Partition Master or some other program, just make a partition and let it format to NTFS.

I have managed to create a Volume, but only in Exfat format, as soon as i attempt to convert it to NTFS, windows says it has failed and goes back to RAW again,

    will try your suggestion now
