Hello,
I'm using win8. When I'm trying to update my Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 driver, it just tells me that the newest driver is already installed, which is not true. I downloaded and unpacked the driver, but even if I navigate there, win8 will not recognize that driver and just tell me that the newest is installed, effectivly blocking any driver update.
I tried to delete the old drivers manually from system32, but he still won't recognize the new one. If I deinstall the drivers via manager, the whole adapter disappears; when checking for changed hardware, he will reappear and instantly reinstall the old driver, even if it has been deleted from system32 (no idea where he gets the old file from). I'm not at all a pro, and also new here. Any constructive feedback to the problem is welcome. If this post is wrong here, could someone push it where it belongs or tell me to move it please?
Thanks for your time.
