Solved Blank Screen After Installing Driver... HELP!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, the screen is broke so I use an external monitor which doesn't project BIOS or Boot up so I cannot see anything. I found a thread on here that adds the Intel Graphics Driver for Mobile 4 Series for Windows 8 which I supposed would work on 8.1.

The link I installed:
http://www.eightforums.com/graphic-...eries-4-intel-hd-graphics-1st-generation.html

I installed it and restarted the laptop for the GUI to start.

But as I restarted, the screen was blank. I tried cycling through projection modes as I usually do, but this time It didn't work.

I have no clue of how to remove the driver to as I cannot see anything on the external monitor as I've tried it on 2.

I've tried booting into Safe Mode but as I've said, I cannot see anything on the screen so I'm not sure where I am.

Please help!

Thanks!

to uninstall the driver start your pc while hitting f8 then choose safe mode then remove it from programs and features.

As I've said, both screens are blank, and I've tried booting into Safe Mode without seeing anything but all I see is a black screen on both monitors, so I'm not even sure if it's in Safe Mode or Normal Boot.

Do Graphic drivers carry over into safe mode, and can you switch to external monitors in safe mode?

No effect when pressing WIN+P, The only display output is VGA, and the external monitor only supports HDMI & VGA so my DVI converter is useless.

good on Microsoft for implementing something like that lol. were you just trying to upgrade the driver in the first place? or do you need one to support your external out it sounds like you had it working before since you could use it before with the broken screen anyways. what model is the laptop?

I'm very glad they did.

I tried updating so I could up the screen resolution as the tv doesn't even support its native which is stupid, but I got past this before with an older driver which showed the native resolution from some sort of glitch and also to get games to work such as Minecraft as it needs drivers I guess.

The model is Dell Inspiron 1545.
