usb 3.0 not working in win 8.1

MY USB 3.0 PORTS ARE NOT WORKING IN WIN 8.1. There fine in 2.0 ports and 3.0 are working in WIN 7

Just for a test, plug in a USB 3.0 compliant device, check devices and settings to see what speed it is running at, then leave the device plugged in a reboot. Now check the speed again:



Give us the before and after (reboot) results please.

thanks for the reply... unable to check any thing as error reports can't find usb device. However the usb3.0 drives show up and just continue to load and unload ( in a loop) . Also in the devices a find a "SATA BRIDGE" APPEARING DURING THE OPERATION. When I disconnect, the BRIDGE device closes and disappears.
During error test I receive the report " MASS STORAGE DEVICE HAS A DRIVER PROBLEM "

Running A hp h 1212 ONE YEAR OLD. This unit has a Texas inst. usb 3.0 ext. host controller. I have updated driver no change.

USB 2.0 running very well so I'll just leave it be for now , before I really screw something up !! THANKS AGAIN
