    Overclocking problem

    Hello,

I've been posting previously in the BSOD and Crashes section about a Kernel 41 bugcheck 122 error I keep receiving that causes my laptop to crash.

After some exchanges, a member concluded that my PC may be inadvertently overclocking and that this overclocking may be causing the crashes.

As I have never set up my PC to overclock itself, I also do not know how to go about fixing this overclocking problem.

The member suggested I post in this section of the forum for assistance.

I have attached the report that the member used to determine that the PC is overclocking.

    Thank you for any assistance!

You can start off by resetting your BIOS to defaults and that may clear any overclocking parameters you may have inadvertently set. Someone else will be along to do the formal evaluation of your information; however, I just wanted to give you something to try in the interim. Good luck.

    Thank you for the assistance.

Unfortunately, after resetting my BIOS to defaults, I still seem to be experiencing the problem.

    Any more recommendations? Thank you!

    This is your Laptop specs:
Best Deal: Lenovo Twist, Lenovo ThinkPad Twist Multi-touch Ultrabook,Lenovo Twist coupon
    Laptops:

    1. Do not have adequate cooling systems
    2. Normally do not come with a K Intel Processor (unlocked multiplier) installed, yours is an Intel Core i3-3217U.
    3. Do not allow overclocking thru BIOS. The only thing you can do with Laptop is to increase the FSB( Front Side Bus) using software.

Having said that, I don't know who suggested that you might inadvertently overclock your laptop.

Looking at the dmp files, The BSOD's were caused by different processes namely: Realtek HD Audio and SynTPEnh.exe (implements a set of additional configuration options and enhancements for Synaptics touchpads). I would suggest to go to the manufacturer website and check if they have new drivers for them.

In addition, the Application Events Log keep having multiple errors with the following description:
(GetUserLpd()): Cannot find user_lpd.xml, check if Lenovo Settings is installed: C:\Users\Kevin\AppData\Local\Packages\LenovoCorporation.LenovoSettings_4642shxvsv8s2\LocalState\user _lpd.xml
You'd need to find out which Lenovo application is causing this error.
