Are you just preparing for Windows 8 or have you installed it and are missing a few drivers? The reason I ask is because your KV53SV is not shown to be Win 8 compatible so its hard to say whether or not you will be able to get it to work gracefully. However, if you have already done the install and are left with specific devices not working, then maybe a try at installing the drivers in a compatibility mode might work. Another option would be to identify the device in question and attempt to download a Win 8 driver from the manufacturer's site (if supported). However, if you are just in the preparation stages, I wouldn't risk it. I would stay with Win 7. Good luck.

Well, if that is the case, then you need to get very specific about "what doesn't work" and I have no clue as to what "touchpad are working in half" means. Please take the time to explain your issues thoroughly, and individually, so you can get the proper attention and responses each problem requires.

I have an ASUS K75DE running Windows 8.1. The touchpad doesn't have a dedicated scroll section on it so to get that working I have to install the Smart Gesture utility/driver for my model. The ATK package is a prerequisite to be installed first. I do believe the ATK package is what enables all the special function keys etc. If there are no Windows 8 drivers try the Windows 7 drivers, just creat a restore point before trying them so you can go back if they don't work correctly.

Half way there, now if you can find the Smart Gesture utility/driver package that should get your two finger scroll working.
