Solved mouse double click does not work in desktop

Hello, I tried to adjust the double click speed but it has no effect.

Any icon on desktop doesn't open until the third click. Once i am in my computer double clicking works fine, the issue only occurs on desktop.

I suspect it is related to some program but i don't know which. Other domain users on the computer do not suffer from this problem.

i tried disabling lots of things from startup like babylon, ashampoo hdd control, bwmeter, desktop 8gadgets but it didn't help.

I don't know when this problem started to occur.

Earlier i installed mcos lion transformation pack and uninstalled it. It had caused notifications not to come on office 2013. Maybe it could have some how influenced this problem. anybody has any ideas to fix this?

well this is the default .. i could switch to single click but i'd rather solve the problem.

Try running Windows Restore to restore to a point before you installed the Transformation pack (If the restore point exists) and see if that solves your issue.

however when i searched for restore points a point only 2 dats ago exists and the transformation pack was installed about 3 months ago so that won't work.

Your welcome, I try to help as much as I can , see if there might be a process in task manager that could be causing the issue.

wow thanks for the tip.. all those years of computer experience and i lack imagination and troubleshooting inovation. it turns out it was the team viewer process. Once terminated icould double click again . i put it service in manual start up so it doesn't run and it seems i should drop them an email.

i misgudged. it was because of the punto switcher program and the problem disappears after i exit the progam, so i sent their support an email, hopefully they will answer.

I'm glad that your problem was fixed , good going with the email hopefully they will fix the bug.

they replied that they are aware of the issue and maybe they will solve it in the next version, meanwhile i am stuck with the alt-shift key in switching languages.
