Hello - trying to do Android app development using Adobe Flash CS5.5 and a Motorola Milestone phone. Plug and play doesn't recognize the phone, and the 64 bit Motorola drivers won't install either, I keep getting an error that the installer doesn't recognize the OS. Anybody else trying to use a Motorola with Win 8?

Hi mspanish, Welcome to the forum

Try right clicking the installer and selecting trouble shoot compatibility this will give you two options you can try.

Fix for Motorola Drivers in Win 8

Thanks for the suggestion and the warm welcome :)

Well after trying many solutions, I finally found something that worked!

You have to connect to the Motorola Online Troubleshooter, which will install a few things apparently missing right now, at least they were for me - here is the link:

https://globalrepairtools.motorola.com/serviceandrepair/

Then let it install whatever you need, and restart, and try connecting to it again until it shows your phone in there. I had 3 other Motorola USB and media connect apps that did not work, even after installing - my phone was still not recognized by Adobe Flash until I did this.
