Need some help with a RAM choice

Hello, I ordered an SSD and 2x2GB ram (@1600Mhz) sticks for my computer, But now I saw I ordered XMS RAM, But the 2 sticks in my computer are XMP RAM, Anyway will that cause any problems or so? I mean will my bios have trouble setting the frequency right or something like that?

    Thanks in advance,
    GianniDPC

XMS is just part of the Corsair description. That XMS RAM also has an XMP profile so they should be OK to replace the old with the new as long as the specs are compatible with you motherboard. However, if you are intending to use all 4 modules together, then you have not provided enough information to properly evaluate that condition.

As stated previously, I (personally) cannot make that determination without knowing the specs for the installed RAM modules. However, maybe someone else will come along and be able to give you the assurances you need based on what you have provided so far. Good luck with your upgrade.

It might work OK since the specs are very close but no guarantee since you have two different brands.

    Corsair XMS3

Agree with Phone Man, should work together since the specs are close.
It's always best to buy a complete kit, different kits of the same brand have a better chance to work together but, different brands do work together.

Let us know if there are any problems.

It works, but the 'Command Rate' is at 2T now instead of 1T, will that make my RAM perform slower?
