Asus Crosshair V Formula (Socket 942)
AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core Processor Zambezi 3.6 GHz
Seagate 149G SATA-II 3.0 Gb/s
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series Sapphire 2048 MB
Corsair GS800
Corsair Dominator GT CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 12G triple Channel System
2000 MHz 9-10-9-27 1.65V
Operating System is Windows 8

I have been building a computer and the specs above outline my computer I am currently only getting 535 MHz out of the potential 2000 MHz, I thought that the RAM was compatible with my system though I am starting to doubt that. Is it compatible? If so what am I doing wrong that I am getting such low results? Thank you for your input

Triple channel is for some Intel stuff, AMD goes to Double Channel only but i don't think that is the problem here. Those 535MHz you have to multiply by 2 so actually you are running memory at 1070 MHz (DDR = Double Data Rate). You'll have to adjust memory from the BIOS. Chances are you are not going to get all of the 2000MHz out of them but 1600 and even 1866 should be just fine.

Thanks
I went into the bios and altered the set up and got 1900 MHz well 935 MHz but w/e tho now I keep getting messages about memory reference errors and got a video memory error is that because the ram is ment for intel not AMD?

Try upping the voltage for the memory by a notch.

Max memory bus for that processor is 1866 if I'm not mistaken but the MB should let it go higher.

I had it selected at 1833 it can go to 2133 but do you have any ideas about the memory errors?

Usually lack of voltage if it is OCed any, which for that setup the border is 1866. Just like processor or NB, memory needs more voltage as you push it further. Let me give you one example, my Kingston is rated 1.5v at 1333, 1.65 at 1600 but will not go a Herz higher than that if I don't give it 1.71v.than it goes 10 more Hz and stops there no matter what. What are your memory timings ? The faster you push it, the higher timings it would require so at some point you get diminishing returns as far as performance goes.
