gang have any of you gotten all devices working on a amd 700 series mboard design, A-series HP ?
DV6 models [some] are this platform and several M6 including mine which is M6-1035dx.
I have four devices not installed correctly, and Win 8 error messages/flags re:
- Validity fingerprint sensor : I note that HP publishes the driver on the website as being for Windows 8, but after installing "successfully" the problem remains.
- hp smart hard drive 'HP Protect"
- hotkey utility
hdwe ids of the troubled remaining devices:
- USB\VID_138A&PID_0018\B7C2B60E4E1D I note that this problem existed under windows 7 x64 also for the brief time I used
- ACPI\HPQ0004\3&2411E6FE&0
- PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5289&SUBSYS_18A6103C&REV_01\4&2E3C5434&0&0020
also the synaptics touch pad is behaving erratically. there are a number of posts around the web on this but I don't know what to do. HP publishes both a "driver" set for the touchpad, and "firmware". both appeared to install correctly, but the thing is very difficult to use. seems to misread touches, finger position, and whenever you release your touch, the cursor will jump to a diff location just enough to miss more than it 'hits'.
if any of you have already done this please coach me.
thx
