    USB3 in W8 anyone yet ??

    Hi all
Anyone tried USB3 devices yet IN NATIVE USB3 Mode (not USB 2 compatability).

I'm thinking of getting a couple of USB3 devices but if they only will work in USB2 mode then the extra expense IMO won't be worth it as USB2 speeds seem to be a lot better in W8 than W7.

Sadly I don't have any native USB3 devices... I'd love to know if they work as well.

Hello guys, I have been reading the site since it started but I just registered. I bought Windows 8 when it was released, like most people I liked the performance upgrades and other stuff, but that was about it. Months later I installed Windows 7 again, but it just felt old and there were a few...
Windows 8.1 and USB3 in Drivers & Hardware
Hi there USB3 seems sometimes to be a bit flakey on W8.1 -- the speed inexplicably drops quite considerably until the system is re-booted and then the drive works at full speed again. (External USB 3 drive on a laptop with dedicated USB3 slot) No viruses or malware -- just seems to happen...
USB3 HUB missing driver - or not?? in Drivers & Hardware
Greetings. USB3 and Windows 8 is still a fuss I think. When using Windows 8.1 internal USB3 driver for my Z77 chipset, my USB3 sticks runs fine when using them directly in the USB 3 ports on the mobo, but my Skarkoon USB 3 hub is only running USB2 speeds Internal 4-Port USB3.0 Hub | SHARKOON...
Hi there Has anybody found any USB3 cards yet that actually give anything like proper USB3 speed on a Mobo that didn't originally have any USB3 cards. Most of the stupid PCI-e cards have transfer speeds little better than decent USB2 devices. Comparing a decent USB3 external HDD transfer speed...
USB3.0's driver in Drivers & Hardware
Hello, everyone. New member here. What about USB3.0's driver? Didn't even find such a driver on Acer's website and was forced to install Windows 7 instead. Another issue with the USB 3.0 I have is that it's not working when my laptop is off. Thought it was supposed to work/charge your phone...
Anybody know of a beta-driver for USB3 and a Z77 Intel chipset? (on a MSI mobo) My USB3 is so sloow compared to same port in Windows 7. My daily backup of files, drawings and reports takes a LOT of time. This might be a windows 8 killer, if Intel and MS can't solve it.
WD 2TB USB3 EXternal HDD in Drivers & Hardware
How do you test a USB 3 HDD speed? I have a WD USB 3 2TB external HDD. After I upgraded to Win8 I found out My USB 3 PCIE card was not compatible. I bought and installed a new card. When I was transferring files to it, the graft or gage at the top of the screen said about 80 MB/s. The card and HDD...
