I just had to send a scan to a client of mine using my Brother Printer/Fax/Scan device.

I never installed the Brother software for the device but once I placed the document on the scanner and selected "Scan Image," lo and behold, Win8 8102 perked up and scanned it with the Windows Fax and Scanner app.

I'm happy! :)

I didn't have to re-boot into Win7 for this simple task.

Nice goin', Win8 8102! :D

Now ... if only I could get Autocad Architecture 2012 to work with Win8 8102 ...

Well, there you go. Some printer drivers work. Hopefully the beta release will fix the current compatibility issues.

Built-in software does the very basic of functions. Much like built-in wifi.

Did you install the driver at all?
