You either tried to install the wrong BIOS or it was a corrupted DL - Or even a power failure during the BIOS install. Is it not seeing your drive at all? Find out, see if the hard drive is detected, then see if you can change the boot order.

Go into your BIOS, see if the hard drive is being shown, if it is, check the boot order.

All I know is a BIOS update failure on a Lenovo can be a very bad thing, I'm sorry this happened. I've fixed a wrong BIOS on various computers, but never on a Lenovo.

You'll have to download the real BIOS file on another PC, and stick it on a USB floppy along with the BIOS installer. That's assuming the system will detect any USB drives. It MUST be in "Drive A" if you do it from a USB floppy.

Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
Did the update just fail or did it render your laptop as useless? The reason I ask is because you state that your laptop "is now working in the legacy mode and you are not comfortable with that." So, does that mean it is functional but you just don't like the legacy mode? If so, you need to contact Lenovo support directly because it appears there are others having issues when trying to update their BIOS to the latest release:
