Hello everyone, hopefully this is in the right section. I'm having some issues with my AirPlay device from iTunes. I have narrowed it down to the Windows 8 fast startup feature as it works absolutely perfectly when this is disabled.

This is the laptop:
HP ENVY m6-1232sa Notebook PC (E0R92EA) | HP® United Kingdom

And my AirPlay device is this:
X-SMC3-K Slim, Wireless Multi-Room Micro System Made for iPod/iPhone with AirPlay and DLNA (Black) - Pioneer Sound System, iPod Dock

The AirPlay speaker is connected to the router via an ethernet cable and the laptop is connected through Wi-Fi.

The error message received is:
"The AirPlay device "AirPlay" cannot be found on your network. Please verify your network settings and AirPlay configuration or select another device."

I have all updates installed for Windows 8 and my iTunes is up to date. I have just reinstalled iTunes and it has not worked.

Any suggestions besides turning off fast startup as this is a good feature added to Windows 8.

Thank you.

Fast startup enabled shortens the allowable time for initial network communications. In fact, you can quickly timeout even trying to wait for a DNS server response from your ISP. My advice is to leave it off. Good luck.
