Hello Guys,
I am having a few problems with the Samsung Magician program since replacing my video card and just wondered if any one else has had these problems.
Firstly if the Samsung Magician SSD program is running in the system try and I start Steam then Bioshock Infinite the game will open for about 0.5-1 second then minimise itself to the task bar, if I click it in the taskbar it will go full screen for about 0.5-1 second again then minimise itself straight away and so on. If I shut down the Magician program I can maximise the window full screen and it will play Bioshock normal.
Also another problem has developed since I have fitted a new video card and I'm not sure if the problem is the video card or the Samsung Magician software, When I open the Magician program my monitor screen will go blank for about 1-2 seconds then return to the normal desktop, this will also happen when the “refresh drive information” button is pressed at the bottom of the Magician window. The blank flash will also occasionally happen when I play a small video recorded from my camera or phone. I don't get any problems when playing Bioshock or Metro Last light with the settings set high so I don't think it is a hardware problem with the video card or PSU.
I didn't have any of these issues with my old video card (Gigabyte 9800GTX (GV-NX98X512H-B)512 MB)
I am running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with all updates applied, my video card is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI OC running the latest 320.49 driver , my monitor is Samsung SMS27B970D.
Anyone else got Steam/Bioshock and Magician installed?
Thanks
Tony

- I did a fresh format and install of Windows 8 64 Bit Pro. Sorry but I couldn't live without a start button so I have installed the Start8 start menu which is great. I try sometimes not to use it but find metro frustrating to find programs as I have many. I will use Metro for apps only and desktop of serious computing.
