TP-Link TL-WN722N- losing power through USB?

Occasionally, what happens with my TP-Link adapter is as follows:
    -Working fine
    -Windows seems to lose connection
-Moment or two later comes back

The interesting thing, though, is that the device completely disappears from the Device Monitor during the duration of downtime, as well as the fact that the TP-Link Software notes that there isn't any hardware plugged in, leaving it to prompt me to plug in aforementioned wireless adapter.

I've occasionally noticed this when my iPhone is plugged in, too, where it's charging, then it'll momentarily lose power, before regaining power again.

Thoughts and/or suggestions for a fix?

I've already gone into device manager and disabled the option to allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.

It still will occasionally drop connection.

    Windows 8 & Windows 7 Dual Boot

Sounds like overload, too many USB devices drawing too much power..

This can cause actual motherboard damage.

Use a powered USB hub which has its own power supply.

Or you can purchase a PCI or PCIe to USB card with a power connector so as not to use the bus power.

This is a PCIe version, there are regular PCI versions as well..

If you choose this route with an internal hub, you may as well go USB3, the benefits are aaaaamazing..

And theyre under $30. (dont pay more!)

USB3 only come in PCIe (PCI Express)
