So, I have to read a gigantic book on Microsoft System Center 2012 for work. I decided that it would be a great time to use the Surface Pro as my reading device. My copy of the book is in a PDF file.

So I launch the full screen reader app and start reading. Discover rather quickly, that I cannot bookmark where I read to, nor does the application remember what point i made it to.

Is this reader app really this limited? Can I not be in the process of reading multiple things like I can with my Kindle.

LOL. It is only an "app." Are you expecting the moon on a stick?

I know how to read a PDF, but this is a 1,300 page book that I have to read for work. I solved my problem by utlizing the kindle app for the desktop and that allows me to bookmark where I am.

On my actual kindle, it remembers exactly where I left off in each book I am reading. So, I can be reading 3 different books and it remembers my location in all 3. That's what I was hoping the built in READER app would do, but I couldn't figure out any way to make it do that. Each time I opened the app again, it took me to page 1 in the PDF.

In case you are wondering, I am reading Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Unleashed
