My bt keyboard connects fine but it doesn't stay connected. I go into pc options to reconnect but cannot. I tap the icon and nothing happens. I can only reconnect if I remove the device and start from scratch to rediscover it and connect. I saw advice to go into Device Manager and uncheck 'allow computer to turn off device to save power.' I couldn't locate a Power Management tab. The usual General-Driver-Details but no Power Management. A new tab called Events. Help please!

Are you sure the batteries are good?

Brand new batteries are not necessarily good, test them in a flashlight or a meter if you have one.

Does it dosconnect while youre using it or after a while of no use?

It's after awhile of not using.

I cannot see any place where the battery is available for examination. It's pretty seamless except for the micro usb charging port.

From what I could google, this seems to be a problem with Windows 7 as well. The fix is to not let the device go to sleep, but the Properties information for the keyboard looks different on Windows 8, so I can't apply the Windows 7 fix.

Thank you.

I found a solution that I think works. At least it's been working for a couple of days. In Windows 8, you have some choices for Power Management. My tablet came with a Balanced option which basically turns off all devices. I had to changed it to High Performance, but in my Tablet, there was no option to change it to High Performance. I was able to create a unique power profile that replicated the High Performance settings of never going to sleep. So basically I'm trading off battery power for the ability to start up my tablet and bt keyboard and have the keyboard recognized.

Change, create, or delete a power plan (scheme)

If you can't locate the Power Management tab on the Bluetooth Radio device properties, try doing the same to the properties for Network adapters/Broadcom 802.11bgn Wireless SDIO adapter. The Bluetooth radio is actually a part of the same chip.

THIS WORKS TOO. Thanks!
