unplug external drive

hi everyone

how do I unplug external drive safely, when I right click their is no safely remove menu like their was on windows vista.

On the right of the Taskbar next to the clock there's a white arrow. Click on this and it'll show a notification area, where there's an icon to safely remove hardware and eject media.
