Solved New Windows - Old good printer

I recently got two laptops with Win 8 and Win 7, and I have an old HP Laserjet 6L printer, that I'd like to use with both of them. I alredy have an LPT-USB cable.

Unfortunately, there is no driver at the HP website for this OS and printer.
HP just suggests to buy a new printer.

Does anybody have a driver to solve that? Or maybe there is an alternate driver for it?

My old HPs work with Win 7/8. Try the HP universal driver.

I've installed the Universal printing driver for PCL5. Should Windows detect the printer automatically after that? Because it's still "Unknown printer".

I had to manually force driver installation because HPSETUP.exe used to freeze detecting OS version

So, it worked!
1. There was an "Unknown USB printer" with no button to use Windows driver update, while manually choosing the necessary driver (I don't know why).
2. I left this device alone, and installed my LaserJet 6L through "Add printer" - there was button for Windows driver update, and it located 6L driver in the Windows database. But this mannually created printer was unresponsive.
I deleted it, but the driver was already in the system!
3. So, I've opened "Unknown USB printer", tapped "Update driver", and it located LaserJet 6L driver in my system and installed it!
After restart everuthing works perfect.

P.S. The Universal HP printer driver didn't work in my case.
