    Driver_power_state_failure

    Hello,

I recently built a new computer and everything is working just fine. However, from time to time a get a BSOD that says DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and I do not know what that is or how to fix it. I was wondering if someone new if this was a hardware or software related issue and if it is fixable or not.

You can look at the Zip file for the Memory Dump information

    Thank you,
    Provni1

So I don't have all of my symbols with me but I don't think they're necessary in this case. What it looks like it happening is a device inside or outside your computer is not responding to changes in their power state. This generally happens when a device is inactive for a while and goes to sleep, or your try to put the computer to sleep and a device does not respond. Do you have any external devices attached to your computer via USB, FireWire, etc? If so, unplug all of the non-essentials (i.e. mouse and keyboard can stay if they're USB) and let it run for a while doing what you normally do.

Hey I'm not trying to thread dump but I am experiencing this same issue as well. The only way I fixed it last time was by doing a reinstall of win 8. The reason it came back for me was that I cloned my hard drive from a 1tb to a 2tb. I'm pretty sure in my case it is an AMD chipset driver. I have uploaded the file to a skydrive. Could someone look at it for me who can view dmp files?

The only other thing I could think of is it could be my Saitek keyboard.

Create your own thread, even though you're having the same issue as your environment could be different.
