Hello everyone. I bought the Asus Zenbook Touch (ux31a-bhi5t11) yesterday, and the 2 finger scrolling worked fine at first, but a couple hours later it just stopped working. I can scroll using the touch screen, but not the touch pad now. It's brand new, and I haven't touched any of the settings, so I don't know why it would just quit. Any suggestions?

Hey ! I have a zenbook with the same issue. I managed to isolate the App that crashes, so what you can do if after wakeup the multitouch is not working is the following:

ctrl+shift+esc (task manager will open)
the process that crash is : Asus Smart Gesture Center. (finish it)

That's it.

Since there's another Asus process that automatically opens the previous App. ( Asus Smart Gesture Loader)

Hope this help u !!

This worked perfectly for me, thank you so much!! I'm always grateful for folks who are willing to help us novices navigate our way around new (or not-so-new) technology.

I had the same problem, the 2 finger scroll suddenly stopped working, I didn't change any settings or anything. My laptop is new and I'm still getting used to it, and the scroll has already become second nature. I was really disappointed. Found this thread (and forum) on a google search. I'm sure I'll be back as I come up with more questions about how to navigate Windows 8. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to close an app without the X in the right-hand corner.

Hey Cindy !!!
so glad u found it ussefull, but i found even a simpler way. I have this file always on my desktop, like an .exe file, with this only line:

Taskkill /IM AsusTPCenter.exe /F

so, it does the exactly same thing, without going to the task manager.
you can create a txt file, copy/paste that line, and change the file extensión to .BAT
Then, if it ever fails, you just execute that file in one step ;)

(oh and just for the record, i had another issue with the respond speed of the scrolling in general, it seemed to have a second of delay, solved it uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers)

Best of lucks!
