Bluetooth worked once. Now the device does not show in device manager under network adapters. What can I do? Is the adapter broken?

Not enough information but I would check your manufacturer's website for related Bluetooth software and hardware downloads that were supposedly present when you first bought the PC or laptop and reapply (reinstall) them.

Last night I did "show hidden devices" in Device Manager and deleted all the Bluetooth things that were greyed out. Did a restart and no change. Then a shutdown. This morning powered on and there were some of the Bluetooth stuff including the AR3011. However not enough to connect to anything. Did a DriverBoost check and it found several more Bluetooth things. However they are so big that they won't down load over the RV Park WiFi, yet. More later. Oh FYI the PC is an HP ProBook 4535s. I should have known better.

Yesterday after the DriverBoost Bluetooth worked. This morning on power up no Bluetooth. Don't really need it so I will quit trying to make it work for now.
