Processor is soldered into the board so there's no chance in changing it out.

The Pentium B950 is only listed as socketed (rPGA988B, also known as Socket G2):

ARK | Intel® Pentium® Processor B950 (2M Cache, 2.10 GHz)

The Inspiron N4050 was apparently sold with this I3 CPU:

ARK | Intel® Core

The TDP (thermal power dissipation) of the two chips is the same, so overheating would not be an issue.

There was also this I5:

ARK | Intel® Core

That's a second generation CPU. You may have to go to eBay to find one.

Questions I can't answer:

Is it physically practical to swap CPUs in this machine?

Will the latest BIOS for it (update it with the Pentium in place, if you don't have the latest) support the CPU? (I'd guess: yes.)

Do you feel lucky? ;)

my experience is ,that only highend laptop like gaming laptops have a removable CPU.but it might be possible to unsolder and remove the cpu ,but i don't think so,for average computer repair tech

I never know the cpu is soldered in board. as JLyman said, and now I m hesitate to purchase I3 or I5, because once I purchased, there is no chance to get my money back (if installation failed). so, if I ever needed to open laptop for some other reason, I'll check this soldered thing,
yes, its bios does support I3/I5, even some older version of bios is support too, when I purchased this laptop, A06 bios installed, then I upgrade it to latest available version (windows 8 required that) which is A08.
as in geek bench showed, even A03 bios support I3.

yep, I seen in geekbench that 02JCHC supports I3/I5. but I don't think I could do the unsolder task neither agree to do by someone else.
lately, another thing I come to know that this B950 cpu is nice rating, I was thought that it is (similar to) dual core, but is better then dual core, so now, I think that I'll keep it.
thanks all for reply.
