64g mSATA caching SSD and Win Dual Boot

Hey all, I thought hardware the right place for this since it is what I am confused and worried about. A little info- I've ordered a new laptop rig coming preloaded with Windows 7. The hardware setup in question is a Raid 0 (2x500 7200hdd) with 64g mSATA caching SSD. I plan to shrink the volume with windows management and then install Windows 8 on the new partition.

How will this setup behave? Will the mSATA caching disk be shared by the two OS's and programs? Could this lead to conflict or degradation in performance? Or will it be ok since I will probably be using the same programs and files from one OS to the other? Or is this not even possible...

    Thanks everyone!

If the cache drive requires drivers downloaded, it may require these drivers to be loaded seperately onto each OS. The cache SSD's that I have read about have only one usable copy of the software per drive. Also I believe that only Sandisk cache drives will work with RAID. Other makes only work with C partition only. This subject requires very careful research before proceeding, My knowledge of this is limited and may be wrong.

Hello Tinmar, I agree about carefully researching first. I would believe the drivers would have to be installed in each OS, also. My biggest concern is how each session would treat the caching disk and if there would be conflict from one OS to the other. I have not been able to find any info about someone either doing or attempting this which also causes me concern.

Thanks for your input and I am holding off doing it until I find out if it is possible or not.
