    Windows 8.1

Well, thanks, this is what I suspected too, a bogus error message.

I clearly saw this message the first time when I booted up Windows 8.1 after installing and using Windows 7. I installed Windows 7 only for the evaluation period anyway to troubleshoot some software. I'll just finish troubleshooting, delete the Windows 7 partition and see if I am still getting this message. If yes, I'll just disable this feature, I have Hard Disk Sentinel on Windows 8.1 anyway.

    Thanks again!

Maybe this is related to today's Windows Update fix:

An NTFS volume is flagged as dirty after each restart, and CHKDSK can find no issues
