Hello, i have HP Pavilion g6 1360su with Insyde H2O F.6A. I have downloaded and installed the HP UEFI Support Environment from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-119351-1&cc=bg&dlc=bg&lc=en...=. Is my PC compatible with Windows 8 UEFI? :think:
I have just recently bought a new computer.
If I knew I was going to have this issue I probably wouldn't have bought a 4TB HDD but anyway.
What I have done is read the article (this is where I found out I couldn't install to the 4TB HDD in the first place) on how to install Windows in UEFI...
I just upgraded to windows 8. I first install it, and then I Re-install it again using UEFI mode install.
On this screen (below), I Forgot! to click "NEW", (I just went ahead and click next).
Now this is what I get:...
So, what is that basically ? When i boot from my usb stick, i have the option to install in UEFI mode and in normal mode.
I know in UEFI mode it makes 4 partitions, and in normal mode just 2 partitions.
So basically if i install in UEFI mode i will have better windows 8 implementation and it...

Side note - I succeeded on installing Windows 8 on that particular laptop using UEFI, but NOT legacy. No matter what I tried it failed.
I am using Windows 8 since release now but just figured out it was never installed in UEFI mode. So I wanted to reinstall it. The first problem I had was I couldnt boot from my DVD I burned the iso file on the Windows 8 setup too created for me, there is no UEFI boot option available.
So after numerous amount of CMD PRMT Attempts, BIO Resets, And ISO Burns. I solved this in the most ridiculous way. I took my SATA drive from my Laptop plugged it into my Desktop, Took the W8 ISO, and burned it using the DVD DRIVE "That couldn't be found", Shut down my computer swapped out the HD's...
