Pen needs to be moved at least 10px before it drags

When I press down and drag a small distance it is considered a single click so I need to press down and move a considerable distance for the gesture to be interpreted as a begin dragging event. I use a Wacom tablet that works flawlessly with adobe programs so I assume W8 interprets my pen as more of a very inaccurate finger that would need to have the slack to move a little bit and still be considered a single click. Any ideas? I am hoping I can disable Windows 8 Pen and Touch services and allow the Bamboo driver to handle all operations. Thanks!

Capture.PNG

Okay I feel dumb for being the only one posting here and correcting myself, but it looks like the GUID refers to a folder of values that can disable flickgestures

Hi Cole,

Thank you for this important information.
I have the exact same problems. I'm using my Samsung Ativ Smart PC Pro s-pen to take notes on some online applications in Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox (FF) Google Chrome.

Taking notes in IE works great, with no dragging delay. Unfortunately, FF and Chrome do have dragging delay which makes writing almost impossible.

Have you managed to add chrome.exe or firefox.exe keys to the PenService in the registry?

Thanks

I am having the exact same problem. I've tried going to control panel-> Pen and Touch. And under the pen options tab there is a setting called pen actions. There I have three lines of text where it says Single tap is equivalent to a single click. I think this is what's causing the mouse courser to stand still.

The other two settings have to do with double tapping the pen and holding the pen down for a certain amount of time. When I select each of them, a small settings button illuminates underneath the box. Here I can change settings and, in the holding down the pen selection, disable the setting.

However, when I select the single click option, the settings button becomes gray, essentially disabling the button and stops me from changing the action.

I think this is the cause of the problem, but I haven't been able to figure out how to activate, or rather deactivate, the settings for the single click option.

I hope this can be of help.
